Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School

With Archbishop Thomas J. Murphy High School enrollment increasing, it was time for additional classrooms. Gaffney Construction completed a 24,300 square foot CMU building in December 2003, which allowed for future growth of the school. 

In August 2007, Gaffney completed a new building, adding 40,752 sq. ft to the initial expansion of December 03'.

Currently Gaffney Construction is building the new 4,800 square foot on campus Chapel. Scheduled to be completed in Summer of 2016, we are thankful to again be working with the Archbishop Murphy High School Community   



Builders Investment Group

Facility Type: Medical/Office
Project Size: 23,120 sq. ft
Location: Everett

This new medical use office building was completed in February 2009. Construction of this 3 story building included CMU, metal pan decking, metal joists and framing. 

Throughout the project, Gaffney consulted in great detail with the owners and architect regarding different aspects of design and construction of the facility. Gaffney successfully worked with the City of Everett in resolving challenges in relocation of the sewer and water lines servicing the adjacent neighborhood.

Scuttlebutt Brewery 

Facility Type: Industrial
Location: Everett, WA

In 1996 Gaffney Construction completed Scuttlebutt's original brewery and restaurant on the Everett Waterfront. 

Ten years later when Scuttlebutt wanted to expand their operations by moving the brewery to a larger location and expand the restaurant, they again hired Gaffney Construction. The new brewery more than triples their operating space and includes an outdoor grain silo. 

Now again 10 years later we  have again expanded the Scuttlebutt brewing operation. Adding double the brewing operation space and adding the recently opened Taproom.







Library Place

Facility Type:  Mixed Use Retail/ Multi Family 
Location: Everett, WA

Gaffney Construction completed Library Place in 2010, under a Construction Manager agreement with owner Skotdal Real Estate. 

The Project included: 
Demolition of a large existing building 
Major site excavation and shoring
Construction of a large 2 level underground parking garage (all post tension concrete construction) to support a 200 unit residential/retail mixed use development 

A 27 unit building was completed under phase I with a foundation set for phase II, a 5 story building.




Marketplace Center 

Facility Type: Retail
Project Size: approx. 32,000 sq. ft new construction
and a upgrade of existing exteriors
Location: Mill Creek, WA

Gaffney Construction completed this 3 phase retail project in June 2009.

Phase I included the construction of a large underground storm water detention vault. Construction of two new retail buildings, relocation of existing tenants into the new buildings, and demolition of one of the existing buildings.

Phase II involved major facade and facia upgrades to the remaining existing buildings, as well as a building addition. 

Phase III consisted of construction of a new Bartell Drug store, the retail developments anchor tenant.

All three phases were completed in consecutive order, on time and under budget.

Summit Dental  - Dr. Berggren

This dental build out was completed for Dr. Todd Berggren in March 2009, in a medical office building previously built by Gaffney Construction in the Clearview Area. Features include state of the art lab and operatories for general dentistry, with room for future operatory expansion.

Camano Commons

Facility Type:Retail/Manufacturing/Office/Restaurant
Location: Camano Island, WA

This development built at Terry's Corner on Camano Island included construction of 9 buildings and open plazas, bringing together an area for local businesses, arts, markets, and music in one location. 

Camano Commons developer, Jeff Ericson, occupies one of the buildings for his Camano Island Coffee Roasters business and manufacturing. 

Other buildings included a restaurant, market place, office, and retail spaces.

New Life Church

Facility Type: Church
Location: Everett, WA
Project Size: 53,000 square feet

Gaffney Construction completed this 53,000 square foot addition to New Life in May 2002. The addition houses a large 1500 seat sanctuary with state of the art audio and video equipment, offices, daycare classrooms, and a multipurpose room. Gaffney Construction also remodeled over 35,000 square feet of the existing building, and built a 52,000 square foot underground parking garage.

Scuttlebutt Restaurant

In April 2011 Gaffney Construction completed the new restaurant for the owners of Scuttlebutt Brewery. 

Located in the Port of Everett's new Craftsman District, the 5,560 square foot restaurant more then doubles the space of their old restaurant and adds a lot more room for their kitchen and bar. Gaffney Construction also designed and hand crafted the larger bar area. 

We at Gaffney Construction are proud to have again been a part of another great Scuttlebutt project.

Opus Bank

Facility Type: Financial/Banking 
Location: Kirkland, WA
Square Footage: 3,700 sf

In March 2012 Gaffney Construction completed one of the first branch expansions and remodels for Opus Bank's transition into Washington State.

The remodel consisted of demolition of a former bank branch, removal of the existing vault, and construction of the new branch, to the standards of Opus Bank's specifications. High end finishes and radius teller lines were all part of this beautiful new branch. 

The project was completed in just 8 weeks.


The Gateway Building

Facility Type: Medical/Office Building
Square Footage: 24,000 sf. Plus a 12,100 sf below grade parking garage.
Location: Mill Creek 

Gaffney completed this 36,000 sf medical office building in May of 2013. Construction consists of Concrete foundations and slabs with structural steel support and a steel stud framed shell with architectural metal wall panels and CMU finishes. Steel canopies accent the building. The project also included a 60,000 cubic ft underground storm water detention vault and is the first project to be built under the design guidelines for the new East Gateway Urban Village Zone.

Stillaguamish Community Center

Facility Type: Native American
Square Feet: 25,000
Location: Arlington, WA 

Gaffney Construction completed this unique project in January of 2015. Constructed of CMU block, wood and steel; the building incorporates many concepts tied to the tribe's traditions, and history. 

The CMU block was designed to resemble the weaving patterns of a native basket. The entry opens onto polished and dyed concrete specifically made to mimic the flow and movement of the Stillaguamish River and the facade of the gymnasium looks as if you are entering a traditional longhouse. 

Useable spaces include the gymnasium, kitchen space, meeting rooms and offices. As well as a daycare with outdoor playground, space for cultural education and elder involvement. 

"Early 2012, the Tribe requested a competitive bid for a remodel on a Tribal building in which Gaffney Construction was selected marking the beginning of a trusting relationship."

Roy Robinson Subaru

Facility Type: Auto Dealership
Square Footage: 40,000 s.f.
Location: Marysville, WA

Completed in June 2014, this new 40,000 square foot Subaru Dealership is a combination of structural steel/steel stud frame and pre-engineered metal building.

The ACM rain screen system, radius curtain wall system and interior amenities are all a part of Subaru's latest image design. 

The service area contains in ground vehicle lifts and vehicle exhaust systems. Providing a very clean, crisp working atmosphere for the service techs. This was one of the owners most critical design aspects. 

This project  was completed in just 7 months-from site development to grand opening. 

Kaas Warehouse

Facility Type: Office/Warehouse
Square Footage: 24,000 
Location: Mukilteo, WA

This concrete and steel building was completed in June 2014. The warehouse has 20 foot high concrete retaining walls. The upper floor is home to Kaas Tailored and a preschool. 

Unique design features incorporated by the owner helped make this industrial space take on a sleek contemporary look. 


Stillaguamish Administration Building

Facility Type: Native American
Square Feet: 60,000
Location: Arlington, WA 

This unique project was completed in January of 2016. 

The large atrium structure, shaped to mimic a canoe, incorporates 24 inch diameter by 40 foot tall, turned logs, curtain wall systems and a complete Kalwall Skylight System. 

Measuring 250 feet long by 50 feet high, this building features native art, polished concrete floors- resembling the life and flow of the river, and a 40 foot tall carved tree complete with hand crafted wooden eagles.

This project was as exciting to be a part of, as it was challenging. We didn't just build a building, we brought to life a work of art.

Peoples Bank

Facility Type: Banking
Square Footage: 13,000 sf
Location: Everett WA

Completed in July of 2016, this was a major remodel to an existing building on the corner of Colby Ave and Everett Ave. Gaffney stripped the building to only its foundation and structural elements, completed seismic upgrades to the existing structure and then built this attractive state of the art banking facility

Triple T Trading

Facility Type: Distribution Warehouse and Office
Square Feet: 110,000
Location: Marysville, WA

Gaffney Construction completed this large Distribution Warehouse in June of 2016.


This Concrete Tilt up includes 94,000 sf of warehouse space with high rack storage and ESFR fire suppressions systems, 20 loading bay docks, and has a 2 story, 16,000 sf office and design area. Gaffney also completed the site development and Right of Way improvements.
Dwayne Lane Arlington Chevrolet


Facility Type: Auto Dealership
Square Footage: 35,000 sf
Location: Arlington WA

Gaffney Construction has continued relationships with the Lane family for over 35 years and in September of 2016 completed the new Arlington Chevrolet. This Concrete Tilt up includes a large service area, service drive thru, showroom and office/sales spaces. The site included major cut fills to bring the site up to grade.
